Concept Statement: This project was completed in a non-studio class. The goal was to learn and apply the concept of appropriate lighting, acoustics, natural light and their calculations. The space used is the current 1st and 2nd year Interior Design Studio at NDSU. The room is loud, filled with hard surfaces, gray, and split laterally with a mobile wall. The goal was to see what the room could become if it were up to the student. How could we best use the space we spend each day in. This was a fun and creative project to see what each Interior Design student could come up with. LEED / WELL credits were applied as well as the consideration of natural light, acoustics, and lighting per square foot.
