Concept Statement: Every year for the past 5 years, Scheels Home & Hardware has given NDSU Interior Design students the opportunity to participate in the Scheels Design Challenge. Teams of two to three draw from a hat a vignette and a theme. We were given vignette #5 and the theme of Lakeside/Coastal. We were given a budget of $500 to use from different Scheels affiliated vendors and all other items are pulled in-store. n a Sunday morning before the store opens we are given 4 hours to pick all of our items and build out our vignette. Then, the store opens and local designers, friends, family, and guests come in and vote on which vingettes they like the best!
